Ancient Hospital and Maternity Home This ancient cave is located on the Nok Hills and was used by the ancient indigenous people as Hospital and Maternity Home. Below the cave is a close-up photograph of the wall of the cave where macro-medical records are kept. The markings have their interpretations. The white marks indicate records/history of those that were treated and discharged after full recovery including child birth; The Red marks indicate those that were fatally wounded (some brought from war fronts) and were in intensive care; The black marks denote records of those that didn’t make it. •Inside the cave is a consulting section and rock bedding. There’s also an outpatient section. This cave is highly revered by the indigenous people as it shows the sophistication of the Ham traditional institutions which predates Christ. This picture was taken in March 2016 during our committee visit •PRAYER •This cave is one of many tourist destinations that are found in the Ham land. Historical relics such as these are in dire need of preservation, especially access roads, as the present condition of the roads are extremely bad.
