This dream shot is part of a fairytale series of pictures taken during the annual rutting season of the red deer. There was an exceptional three-mornings-in-a-row mist and one morning was cold enough so as to allow excellent visibility of the steam coming from the stags belling. The centuries old trees provide a fine natural frame for a fairytale composition; a classic.
